The lost rugby ball!

On a warm sunny day, Maia was playing with her rugby ball and all of a sudden the dark brown ball disappears. She ran to the rugby field but it was not there.  She asked her mum if she had seen it but her mum had not seen it. Next, she walked to the shop and asked if they had seen it and the answer was no. Maia sat down and thought about her rugby practice at 2:00. She was supposed to take her own rugby ball to rugby. Three minutes later there was a knock on the door it turned into a BANG BANG  Maia walked to the door with tears dripping down her face. She opened the dark oak Door touching the golden handle in surprise. When she had opened the door there was a man holding the exact rugby ball she had. She thanked the man. He knew that she had looked and looked. Maia and the man walked inside well the man told Maia his name and that was Mark. Thanks got to go to rugby now see you later. "Thank you so much, Mark, "she said before walking out the door.

The lost spider

On a warm, sunny day Jenny and Josh went to the big round yellow shop that says “Get a pet on special”.

Josh said, ”Can we please have a spider?”.

“Take one and pay me a dollar and that will be fine,” said the shop owner.

“Let's go home, wait have we got him a cage? Yes we do” said Jenny. They got home and thought ‘where's the spider?’. They looked everywhere and still no sign of the spider. They checked the car, no sign.

“Hurry Mum needs a spider for a pet to get us to learn how to look after a pet,” said Josh.

“Found him in the dirty washing sleeping as quiet as a mouse,” said Jenny.

Mum then arrived and said “What great responsible children I have.

The principals Office

It all started a long, long time ago when homework was invented No kid liked homework it sucked. Instead, Maui didn’t do his homework and played. The grumpy Mr grump the principal had caught Maui playing in the middle of homework time. He said so loud that the whole school could hear it” GO TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE”. Maui sprinted into the principal's office in shook to see the handcuffs. It had been so long since he got in trouble. Maui got in trouble from having staple gun fight with his friend Mark years and years ago. Maui sighed then said “ I promise I will do my homework now, please let me go”. “NO,” said Mr. Grump. Maui got handcuffed to a bit of brown string that was extremely thick. Maui sat there until 3:00 pm and got told not to go on the internet until next month and had to do his homework twice a day. He tried to apologize but the answer was the same No, No and NO. Maui left at three o’clock and told his parents about his day and they told him we will go to school and talk with him. But they liked the principal.

The conversation went like this:

Principal: Hello

Mum: hi

Dad: hi our son got in trouble

Principal: yes

Mum: We like your punishments but please put it down to 3 weeks of not going on the internet

Principal: ok sure

Dad: Thank you bye.

So Mum and Dad did not do much for me. Maui asked the principal do you have a wife. He said “yes but she moved to another country so I remarried and don’t see this one either”. “I can help you if …… you don’t punish me and make homework be optional”. “Alright I will do it for you and my wife”.They Both screamed “let's go”. Principal got married and everyone was happy.

Dear Ministry

I have a huge issue. Hold up ✋. Here it goes. Romahapa School needs more space so I’m going to put my opinion down on paper.

I think it is very unfair that other schools get given more space and the money. Romahapa needs more space for another class.  Here are three reasons why.

First of all some Romahapa students are jammed up in the resource room and the computer room. My point here is we only have two actual proper classrooms. The reason why we are jammed up in those other rooms is because we have too many kids and you aren’t giving Romahapa school the space or the money to expand.

Secondly, Mr Preddy now has to say no to so many families because you won’t give us the money for another classroom. Another classroom would let so many more families come to our awesome school, but  you just won’t let Romahapa School grow any further. This is not fair because all families and children should be able to receive a good education. To receive a good education you need good teachers like what we have and great learning skills that the teachers give us. You might even know someone who works there and that they are indeed a great teacher.

Last but not least, we need the space for our 86 students and the many more children in zone that will enrol in the next 3 years. Saying “no” to this is unfair as you gave 1.2 million dollars to another school for the exact same problem and you won’t even give a cent to our school. We would like some “moola” for a good class and great education for all the children that come and that are here right now. The school and community are so

supportive and helpful of this. More space would help give extra room, teacher aides a place to work with children in,a breakout room so we can work, an office for Mr Preddy or even a sick bay.

That was three reasons why we should get more space. We would appreciate it if you give Romahapa school some money to do it. PLEASE give us the money. We need another classroom PLEASE.

Helping Dad!

Have you ever been in a transporter? Well I have. It was Friday evening the wind and rain were blowing and making a muddy mess. We jumped in the truck and drove to Ella’s house. Dad and I jumped in the transporter and drove to Warren's yard,while Mum and Nic followed behind in the truck. The transporter was a Dave Hopkins Contracting one. We picked up the digger from the Mackies yard. We dropped off the diger. Boom! We arrived at the Whiteside’s place and parked the big white and blue transporter. Finally it was time to go home. I loved my day.

Matariki is the Māori New Year.

Matariki is also known as the seven sisters. The names of the seven sisters are Te Uru o Te Rangi, Tupua a Rangi, Tupua a Nuku, Waiti, Waita, Waipuna a Rangi and Mereope. Matariki is the Māori name for the cluster of stars.

Matariki rises in midwinter, late May or early June. Many people speak of the seven Matariki stars as a mother and her daughters.

My awesome Saturday and Sunday

In the weekend I played netball lost 5-10 to Lawrence. Next Dad and I went to up Owaka valley for dad to see what he can do to for contracting. Next Sunday came and Dad and I went to kill some sheep with Aaron and his kids. Samara,Liam,Olivia and I played games in the hay. We ran down to the new shed Aaron had built we played tag and made Liam be in most. Then we went to dads work sheds and did a few things then we came home and relaxed and got ready for school.

My Awesome Uncle gets Married

It was a 1:00pm and the bride was just arriving. There was a lot of chattering. Boom! everything went silent apart from the music amazingly quick a beautiful woman walks in with her handsome father. It was the bride. WOW! There the flower girl had just walked in holding pink and white balloons with hearts on them. Next a small boy walked in with a board that had photos and on it, it showed the words raise the bat bra. Straight after that a tall boy brought in a bat that said raise that bat bro, There walked a gorgeous dark brown hair with a Burgundy colored dress and was the bridesmaid. The second bridesmaid then walked in with ginger colored hair and a burgundy colored dress. Then we prayed  and some poems got read out, they put the ring on each other and then kissed. After they kissed Uncle Ray said“We didn’t practice that too much”. Then Nic and Georgia Ramsay got called up to give them the candle. Awesome! The wedding had finished but there photos. They said there was a wedding party so we went.

Fiery shed fire

It was Friday morning there was a loud knock on the door it was Marc from up the hill.“hey, There is a fire on your shed” said Marc.“We will get everyone out and we will call the firefighters” said Sparky. They got everyone out and realized one was missing. Georgia was tucked up in bed sound asleep. Georgia was the closest to the shed. Sharee sprinted as fast as she could to get inside next she told Georgia to wake up. Georgia couldn't smell a smoky smell until she woke up. Georgia woke up  and after that they sprinted over to the neighbours while Sparky was rescuing his boat. The fireworks started flying extremely high up and the firefighters  arrived. Next There was no fire the fire extinguishers had put it all out next they had a yarn and Johnny said “we will try to get insurance on everything”. The kids came over and heard that a mouse twitched the wire  and it caught onto the fireworks. Sparky was glad that nothing happened to his children. Johnny and sparky talked for two hours while a few more fireworks were going off. Georgia really wanted to go to school because assembly was on but she didn’t. Sparky saw Sharee and smiled. Then she smiled back at him. Next they thanked Marc for telling them and helping them. They also thanked the neighbours. Four and a half years later they built a humongous  creamy colored new shed.

Uranus Report

Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun  and is a sphere shaped planet. Uranus is far from the sun. Uranus is an outer planet.

Uranus’ weather is cold on the inside and has really strong winds. Uranus has strange seasons like summer winter.  Earth gives Uranus summer and winter. Uranus has no spring or autumn.

Uranus has 13 rings and has rings like jupiter because they are very dark. The rings also are like saturn's because the planet has fairly large particles ranging up to 10 meters into fine dust.

Uranus has 27 moons. The biggest  moons of uranus are Mirinda,Ariel and Umbriel. Most of the moons have not been discovered until the space age.

Uranus is a nice colour blue. Uranus is my favourite planet. Uranus is awesome.

Space Rap

This rap is about learning about space. There are eight goofy planets. Mercury is the first planet and the closest to the sun. Venus is the same size as earth but spins the opposite way. Earth is the only planet with things living on it. You And Me live on this planet. Mars is the hottest planet not counting the sun and has the highest mountains. Jupiter is the biggest planet and has the most moons and has rings but not the most. Saturn has the most rings and has moons but not the most. Uranus has rings and it is so cool it spins on its side Neptune is the last planet and bluest in the solar system. The sun isn't a planet but it is the hottest star. We love the solar system. It is so beautiful with all the stars and the galaxy. We love space.

My SUPER POWERS 

 If I was a superhero I would have the ability to fly, be invisible and have super strength. If I could fly I would fly all over the world to see if anyone needs help like if someone gets stuck or anything like that. I would be Invisible so I could go behind someone bad and they would not know who is calling the police or who is fighting them. Invisible would also be to stop someone screaming. I would be super strong to beat naughty people up and help the police to catch bad people. One more reason is I would help people to grab heavy stuff and put it where they want it for free.
 I would be called Super Geo.
