Matariki

Matariki is the Māori New Year.

Matariki is also known as the seven sisters. The names of the seven sisters are Te Uru o Te Rangi, Tupua a Rangi, Tupua a Nuku, Waiti, Waita, Waipuna a Rangi and Mereope. Matariki is the Māori name for the cluster of stars.

Matariki rises in midwinter, late May or early June. Many people speak of the seven Matariki stars as a mother and her daughters.

My awesome Saturday and Sunday

In the weekend I played netball lost 5-10 to Lawrence. Next Dad and I went to up Owaka valley for dad to see what he can do to for contracting. Next Sunday came and Dad and I went to kill some sheep with Aaron and his kids. Samara,Liam,Olivia and I played games in the hay. We ran down to the new shed Aaron had built we played tag and made Liam be in most. Then we went to dads work sheds and did a few things then we came home and relaxed and got ready for school.

My Uncles wedding

My Awesome Uncle gets Married

It was a 1:00pm and the bride was just arriving. There was a lot of chattering. Boom! everything went silent apart from the music amazingly quick a beautiful woman walks in with her handsome father. It was the bride. WOW! There the flower girl had just walked in holding pink and white balloons with hearts on them. Next a small boy walked in with a board that had photos and on it, it showed the words raise the bat bra. Straight after that a tall boy brought in a bat that said raise that bat bro, There walked a gorgeous dark brown hair with a Burgundy colored dress and was the bridesmaid. The second bridesmaid then walked in with ginger colored hair and a burgundy colored dress. Then we prayed  and some poems got read out, they put the ring on each other and then kissed. After they kissed Uncle Ray said“We didn’t practice that too much”. Then Nic and Georgia Ramsay got called up to give them the candle. Awesome! The wedding had finished but there photos. They said there was a wedding party so we went.
